Timeless wellness, modern comforts

Timeless Healing Traditions

Čikat Bay earned its reputation as a healing destination in the late 19th century, cherished by Viennese nobility for its unique microclimate. Today, this legacy thrives through its Spa Clinic and Spa Garden, offering indulgent wellness experiences amidst the serene beauty of Lošinj Island.

Bellevue, synonymous with "beautiful view" in French, aptly captures the essence of its surroundings. The name reflects the stunning vistas of Čikat Bay, the island landscapes, and the historical allure that has drawn visitors to Lošinj for centuries.

Originally established as a modest hotel-pension before 1912, Bellevue underwent a transformative redesign in 1966. This marked the emergence of a modernist icon which, over the years, evolved into a beloved retreat that attracted aristocrats and cultural luminaries seeking respite.

The hotel's journey parallels the island's transformation into a renowned health destination in the late 19th century, fostering the development of villas, guesthouses, and sanatoriums. Today, Bellevue is a testament to this colorful history, blending contemporary luxury with a nod to its storied past.

Čikat Bay is an architectural canvas, showcasing a diverse landscape from romantic Belle Époque villas to sleek modernist structures. Each building narrates a tale of opulence, healing, and enduring grace, reflecting the island's cultural evolution.

Hotel Bellevue was originally a hotel-pension before 1912. It was significantly redesigned in 1966 by architect Zdravka Bregovac, who introduced a two-story atrium with panoramic views of Čikat Bay. In the 1970s and 1980s, it was a popular winter retreat that hosted gala dinners and festive celebrations. Today, its modernist facade and interior design honor Lošinj's history of seafaring and tourism, merging the island's historical essence with contemporary luxury.
